Recovery Home Manager - St. Monica Mother's Recovery Program - Chicago 60622

  • Manage the overall organization of a Maryville multi-staff program.
  • Monitor program development to ensure that Recovery Home residents receive appropriate treatment for substance use issues in a safe and nurturing family environment for the residents and their children.
  • Ensure the implementation and application of the Maryville philosophy and Code of Ethics.
  • Engage primarily in the performance of managerial duties. Customarily and regularly direct two or more other employees.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Develops and implements organizational procedures to ensure a daily routine in the program. Such procedures include those pertaining to staff/home schedules, logs, and other organizational tools;
• Coordinates with the treatment team the implementation of case management activities, records documentation, and treatment plans;
• Maintains communication and coordinates with treatment team to ensure the continuity and effectiveness of treatment programs;
• Provides feedback to staff on their implementation of the Maryville philosophy and Code of Ethics, policies and procedures, and professionalism through regular written as well as daily informal consultation;
• Consults cooperatively with nursing staff with regard to appropriate documentation and the distribution of medications, and monitoring the self-administration of prescribed medications;
• Reviews treatment records and administrative forms for accuracy and effectiveness, i.e., shift logs, daily case entry logs, medication logs, unusual incident reports, visitation logs, sign in/out log, and medical records;
• Participates in the selection interview process and makes recommendations for the hire and placement of new employees;
• Participates in continued performance quality improvement;
• Other duties as assigned.
• Ensures verification of the daily population;
• Maintains programmatic files for staff;
• Coordinates and verifies staff attendance at training sessions;
• Coordinates the completion of performance evaluations of staff;
• Coordinates the proper administration of budget allocation, reimbursements, and payroll documentation;
• Oversees facility repair requests and vehicle maintenance;
• Schedules, monitors and documents the effectiveness of site fire drills and severe weather drills

Education/Experience:

• Hold certification as a National Certified Recovery Specialist (NCRS) or receive such certification within two years after the date of appointment to the program; or
• Hold certification from IAODAPCA or receive such certification within two years after the date of appointment to the program; or
• Minimum of 1000 hours of work experience or 2000 hours of volunteer experience in the field of substance abuse of which 750 hours shall have been in direct Recovery Support Systems Service and provide a signed and dated acceptance of the Code of Ethics as established by the Illinois Association of Residential Extended Care:
• Minimum of 25 years of age.

Skills /Knowledge:

• Must possess a valid Illinois driver’s license;
• Demonstrate skill in working with Maryville Recovery Home Clients and their children;
• Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with Maryville Recovery Home clients, supervisors, coworkers, staff, support agencies, and a variety of internal as well as external consumers.
