PROGRAM THERAPIST - Full Time - St. Catherine of Siena Healthcare Center - Chicago 60108


Must have a Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology or Social Work from an accredited institution.
Must be Licensed or License Eligible.
Must have a valid Illinois Driver's License.

Provides a wide range of therapeutic services to the youth along with ongoing consultation to treatment team staff. The employee’s primary duty is work that requires advanced knowledge in the field of psychology or social work. Position requires the consistent exercise of discretion and judgment.

Yearly Salary Ranges: $ 54,000 to 63,000 depending on licensing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • · Provides individual, group, and family therapy as needed according to individual needs. Actively seeks and establishes relationships with family for each client in their caseload when indicated;
  • · Participates in the training of our trauma informed model of care, the ARC model (Attachment, Regulation, and Competency), and provides ongoing utilization and supervision of this model.
  • · Completes all necessary clinical paperwork, including but not limited to IM+CANS, treatment plan reviews, comprehensive progress reports and discharge summaries, while adhering to established timelines and all licensing and accreditation standards;
  • · Completes documentation of all service provided within the week it is provided, meeting all licensing, accreditation and billing requirements;
  • · Participates in completing outcome measurements;
  • · Provides crisis intervention as needed;
  • · Participates in a team-oriented approach to review clients’ progress and provide individualized treatment services;
  • · Provides treatment that meets the guidelines of Medicaid, DCFS, and other contracting agencies and meets standards of best practice as well as licensing and accreditation standards;
  • · Assesses the placement and service needs and serves as an advocate for the client to assure appropriateness of placement and services;
  • · Provides clinical supervision to non-licensed staff, documenting each supervision session according to standards;
  • · Maintains collaborative relationships with child-serving providers, medical personnel, educational personnel, program personnel, and appropriate third-party agency personnel;
  • · Meets service hour targets set by Maryville Academy and evidenced by documentation;
  • · Participates in utilization review as requested;

· Actively seeks supervision and utilizes supervisory input.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

  • · Recognizes that duties include evaluating youth in crisis (danger to self/others);
  • · Specialized treatment interventions;
  • · Organizes and presents information in a training forum, as needed;
  • · Completes all required training;
  • · Participates in continued performance quality improvement;
  • · Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Experience:

  • · Graduate degree (master’s or Doctorate) from an accredited clinical program.
  • · Experience providing clinical services to a child and adolescent population is preferred.

Possess a valid Illinois Driver’s License

Skills /Knowledge:

  • · Must conduct oneself in an ethical and professional manner;
  • · Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.

Physical Demands:

  • · Required to frequently sit, stand, bend, stoop and walk, sometimes for extended periods; able to walk up and down stairs;
  • · Ability to assist in physical restraint of youth if circumstances require it;
  • · Must have visual, hearing, and learning capabilities sufficient to perform the essential functions defined above.

Environment and Scheduling:

· Work is performed in and in association with Maryville program settings, as well as, occasionally collaborating with schools, court systems, hospitals, & correctional/detention institutions.

· Some on-call consultation responsibilities are required;

· Should be amenable to some flexibility with schedule to meet client needs

Site specific training on requirements of the HIPAA Privacy Rule and the plan’s health information policies and procedures under the direction of the plan privacy officer may be required for this position based upon site specific requirements. Employees who violate the requirements of the HIPAA Privacy Rule will be subject to discipline, up to and including termination.
